The holiday parties are starting and the shopping is well underway. I've taken my folder of Christmas music to the office
so we can enjoy it throughout the month. I have everything from vocal to sax, guitars, big bands, and symphonies, so we listen
to a variety of holiday tunes. I love the Christmas music.
I know some of you are having snow -- please keep it north of Paducah. We can use the rain we are getting instead.
And this is the time of year that I do get time to do some sewing. I've just loaded the update to the Bernina Artista
software for digitizing. I plan to work on digitizing some of my own designs over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for a show
& tell of what I'm doing soon.

It's fall and color is all around us. It makes me want to get busy and work on a quilt with reds, yellows, and greens.
Do I see a floral quilt coming?
As the weather cools, it always seems like now is the time to have a quilt ready to be quilted so you can snuggle under
it as you work on it. I'm planning to spend some time this fall working on some quilts for my next book - and I'm looking
for some nice bright color combinations.

The AQS Batiking Adventure to Bali was certainly a trip of a lifetime. We learned so much about the people and their
culture, and the Balinese were very gracious hosts. Click on the photo of Bonnie and Wayne to see more photos of our trip.
I'll write more about the trip soon, so come back to learn more about Bali.

Every photographer just loves it when nature cooperates. As I was focusing to shoot the boats moored near the Parrot
Key Restaurant in Ft. Myers, this beautiful dolphin jumped into my picture. Sometimes you could sit a whole day and not get
a shot that shows anything except where the dolphin went into the water. They are so graceful, and fun to watch. The rain
clouds were moving in, making for a very colorful sky too.
Bali
- The trip to Bali is now SOLD OUT.
It's going to be
a blast to go on the AQS Batiking Adventure to Bali, November 2 - 12, 2007.
Kaye England and I
will host this once-in-a-lifetime trip. We'll not only get to see them making the batik fabric...but we'll get to make
our own batik too...as well as buy plenty while we are there.
From batiking to an elephant safari...can't
wait to go and tell you all about it.
